Casserolle is a family-run restaurant and snack shop. They’re just a few blocks east of the SGI office on 6th street and a convenient place to grab an authentic and inexpensive lunch or snack.

Juli’s Coffee and Bistro

Juli’s is a downtown favorite serving breakfast, lunch, and goodies in between. They’re located conveniently to the SGI office though parking can sometimes be a challenge during peak hours. Don’t let it stop you though. If you park a little further north on Kansas Ave, you’ll pass by Hazel Hill Chocolates and Cashmere Popcorn. You can always pop in and get yourself some afternoon treats on the way back to your car.

Shana Cake

This has to be said: If you didn’t know in advance that Shana Cakes goodies contain no gluten, wheat, soy, dairy, corn, nuts, tree nuts, GMOs, artificial flavorings/colors or preservatives, I don’t think you’d be able to tell. Their baked goods are nothing short of delicious.

Josey Baking Co. came onto the Topeka food scene with a lot of anticipation and they’ve been going strong ever since. Since they open early, they’re a great stop on the way into the office to get yourself a sweet or savory kolache.

Cashmere has a retail storefront downtown, where they are generous with the samples. Their sweet and savory popcorns are also sold in several locations around downtown and the surrounding area. They’d make a good stop if you want a treat for yourself or something to take home to the family.
